Team Humanity has published its blockchain architecture as a full white paper in the Framework Reading Room.
Asha-256 is TH’s blockchain layer — deployed on Polygon (Ethereum L2), named for the Sanskrit/Persian word for “hope, life, truth” combined with SHA-256, the cryptographic hash function securing every transaction.
The architecture comprises four smart contracts:
- MomaToken.sol — ERC-20 token minted only via HHPA-validated work. No speculative mining. No pre-mine. Every Moma represents a verified hour of human contribution. Domain multipliers: Ecology = 2×, Health/Food/Research = 1.5×, Care = 1.3×.
- SortitionRegistry.sol — Democratic random selection using drand VRF. Every sortition council selection is recorded on-chain, immutable, publicly verifiable by anyone in the world.
- CapitalPool.sol — Multi-sig investment democracy for sortition-selected Capital Councils. High-scoring proposals (MIE 80+) can only be blocked by supermajority — preventing capture.
- CommonsExchange.sol — The replacement for the stock market. Community Enterprise Stakes only. No short selling. 90-day minimum hold. 5% maximum stake. No dark pools. Price anchored to HHPA oracle.
The financial system that caused 2008 — none of it exists in this architecture. Not because it is banned by regulation that can be lobbied away. Because the technical infrastructure to do it simply does not exist.
